Abhishek Mondal

I'm Abhishek, an integrated Ph.D. student, working my way towards a Ph.D. on signal-gated small molecule ion transporters capable of selectively transporting chloride ion across biological membranes. I'm a part of Prof. Pinaki Talukdar's group at the Department of Chemistry, IISER Pune. Our work falls at the intersection of organic synthesis, supramolecular chemistry, and Biology. Ion transporters are highly potential for various biomedical applications in both anticancer treatments as well as channel replacement therapy. Currently, our main focus is to achieve control over the activities of our designed transporters to specifically target cancer cells.
